How to understand the Fear of the Lord and discover the knowledge of God:

1. Listen closely to wisdom

2. Direct your heart to understanding

3. Call out to insight

4. Lift your voice to understanding

5. Seek it like silver

6. Search for it like hidden treasure.

LISTEN - DIRECT - CALL OUT - LIFT - SEEK - SEARCH

The Christian life is NOT passive. It is ACTIVE.

THEN and only then, will you understand the fear of the Lord and discover the knowledge of God. --> That is a PROMISE.

I am currently reading through the book of Proverbs, this blog post was inspired by Proverbs 2:1-5 (CSB):

My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, listening closely to wisdom, and directing your heart to understanding; furthermore, if you call out to insight and lift your voice to understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it like hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and discover the knowledge of God.
